| Basic Socks Learn the joy of knitting socks, a fast easy project to work on while riding in the car or sitting in front of the television. Learn to cast on and knit with four needles, turn a heel and weave the toe with the Kitchener stitch. Supplies needed: Double pointed needles, sock or sport weight yarn. | Wednesday Knitting with Kate We’ve combined the class on Wednesday for those of you that want to learn, learn, learn. Beginners and not quite beginners get together for a lesson geared at improving skills and completing projects. We will keep the class small so there is lots of individual attention while you get plenty of inspiration. This is an ongoing class join it at any time. Call for supply list. | Beginning Knitting with Kate In this class students will learn the basics, cast on, knit, purl and bind off. They will learn all the skills to complete a hat. Supplies needed: Double pointed needles #8 and worsted weight yarn. A pattern will be provided. This is an ongoing class join it at anytime, class meets twice per session. Fee $30. | Intermediate Knitting with Kate This class is for more experienced knitters, or those who would like to be. Each meeting Kate will give a different lesson touching on lace, patterning, color, edging and finishing. Students will be working on their individual projects with plenty of assistance. Students should bring a project idea. If you need help selecting yarn or patterns for your project we will be happy to help. This is an ongoing class - join it at anytime. | Two Needle Socks with Luanna This is the technique for you if you want to knit two socks at once. These socks are worked toe-up on two circular needles; it’s easier than you think. Supplies: Two circular needles #1 or #2, two different brands or colors recommended and sock yarn. A basic sock pattern will be provided. You must be comfortable with basic knitting skills, cast on, knit and purl. Fee $30 March 11 and 25 Thursday 10:00 to 11:30 |
| Stitch of the month with Kate Don’t miss this monthly challenge with Kate. We will try different pattern swatches to see what they do. Bring two colors of yarn and appropriate needles. Fee $15 March 17 Wednesday 10:00 to 11:00 |
| Lace Knitting with Luanna This is an introduction to lace knitting. The class will make a small lace project. Learn to read the patterns as well as all the short cuts to completion.
