Knitting Techniques

Repairs:  How to pick up a dropped stitch, unknit, aka tink, fix a bad stitch after you are rows past it and in a worst case how to unravel just enough rows and pick up the stitches.  Bring a swatch still on the needles so you won’t have to mess with your real project.

Nalbinding

with Katie

This durable and simple craft was popular all around the world.  Now few people know how.  Help us keep this craft alive, gain the knowledge to pass on to others.  A sense of humor is recommended for the class but not required.  Simple project ideas include pouches, bottle/ cup snuggies, hats and fingerless mitts.  Bring your supplies and your creativity and we can slip our way back into the past and bring it with us into the future.

Supplies needed:  Large-eyed needle, thick or fuzzy yarn works well.  Fee $25

Mystery Project

Here’s one to make you think outside the box.  This is a knit-a-long or crochet-a-long (read no fee class) of one skein projects.  Every other week a new idea, make a gift long before you need it.  We’ll tell you what size needles and hooks to bring, buy one skein of yarn here at the shop before you see the pattern. Surprise yourself putting together the unexpected.  Call for needle size before you come.
